Pune, 25th March 2026: From developing an oxygen park to setting up a memorial for late leader Ajit Pawar, the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal CorporationтАЩs (PCMC) 2026тАУ27 budget has made allocations for a range of civic and infrastructure projects aimed at the cityтАЩs overall development.
Mayor Ravi Landge, who approved the revised budget in the general body on Tuesday, said the plan focuses on addressing key urban challenges while ensuring long-term growth. He highlighted that water supply, one of the most critical issues facing the city, has received the highest allocation.
Among the major proposals, the civic body has earmarked Rs 5 crore for тАШAjit SrushtiтАЩ, a memorial in the memory of Ajit Pawar. An allocation of Rs 2 crore has been made for a тАШKalakar KattaтАЩ on the lines of Pune, while a healthcare helpline and assistance centre will be set up in the name of late leader Laxman Jagtap.

The budget also provides Rs 6 crore to address the issue of stray dogs, Rs 5 crore for installation of a solar power project at the municipal headquarters, Rs 4 crore for a тАШKamgar KattaтАЩ for workers, Rs 5 crore for stormwater drainage works and Rs 1 crore for developing hawkersтАЩ zones.
In a push towards environmental sustainability, Rs 2 crore has been proposed for an тАШoxygen parkтАЩ and greening of 203 gardens across the city. The administration has also decided to allocate Rs 10 lakh per corporator to speed up local development works.
