Pimpri-Chinchwad, 18th March 2026: The Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) organized an innovative awareness program under the “Waste to Art” initiative at Ward No. 06, Dhavde Vasti, aimed at promoting cleanliness and environmental responsibility among residents. The event was part of the ongoing “Swachh Survekshan 2026” and “Mazi Vasundhara 6.0” campaigns.
Mayor Ravi Landge, corporator Rajshri Landge, former corporator Rajendra Landge, Chief Health Inspector Satish Ingewad, Health Inspector Rajendra Ujinwal, Vaibhav Gholve, municipal officials, staff, and local residents participated in the program.
The initiative began with a cleanliness drive along Kondiba Landge Marg and the Dhavde Vasti area in Bhosari, leaving the streets tidy and litter-free. Residents were then encouraged to repurpose discarded items into decorative art, demonstrating how waste can be transformed into creative, valuable products.

Mayor Landge personally inspected the cleaned areas and urged citizens to maintain hygiene and avoid littering. He also visited the local R.R.R. Center, highlighting the importance of recycling and sustainable reuse practices.
Sanitation workers who showed exemplary dedication were honoured with roses, while participants collectively took a pledge under the “Mazi Vasundhara 6.0” initiative to protect and conserve the environment.
In his address, Mayor Landge announced plans to roll out the “Waste to Art” program citywide and called on citizens to actively contribute to creating a cleaner, greener, and more beautiful Pimpri-Chinchwad.
